Where are we
Cogne - Alpine Pearl
Cogne, capital of the Gran Paradiso Park, is a quaint alpine village in the Aosta Valley, with beautiful mountains and glaciers as a backdrop. It is very easily reached from all over northern Italy. It is only 27 km from Aosta, 140 km from Turin, 210 km from Milan and 270 km from Genoa. From here, most excursions to the Park, a true paradise for mountain and nature lovers, start from here. The Valley, protected from dense woods, immediately impresses with the extraordinary breadth of the Sant'Orso meadows. Cogne is the ideal gateway to an intact alpine environment, where you can rediscover the pleasure of contact with nature. In summer, beautiful flowery meadows and wide pastures offer naturalistic trekking and bike or mtb rides for all levels, along trails where it is not unusual to meet the park's animals. The variety of cultural offerings and the many events related to tradition, complete the program for a family-friendly holiday. In winter she transforms into the queen of cross-country skiing. With more than 70 km of pistes, Cogne also offers a family-sized alpine ski area, snowshoe trails and, for the most dynamic, ice climbing with over 150 waterfalls.
On the A5 motorway towards Courmayeur Mont Blanc, or from France and Switzerland towards Aosta, at the "Aosta Ovest" exit take the regional road 47 which, in about 25 minutes, takes you to your destination (20 km).
The nearest train station is Aosta. In front of the station forecourt you can take the scheduled bus to Cogne.
The Aosta bus station offers a very convenient service, which in about 50 minutes allows you to reach Cogne. The service includes frequent daily trips and the village terminus is only 180 m from the hotel.
